By Ross F Tierney (not you)
People come up to me always on the street saying, “Hey Ross—you’re Ross Tierney, right? That amazingly inspiring hunk of an author?” And to this I say yes (but usually just barely perceptibly nod my head), wherein they continue, “You are my hero. I read all of your books. Can you make my life suck less?” to which I refer them back to my bestseller Life, and How to Make it Suck Less. I guess what I’m saying is, no, I can’t make it suck less. I can make you suck less, but only to me. For example, if you buy me some coffee, you will suck a lot less—to me. Therein lies the distinction. And yet, I have the sneaking suspicion that people mean them—make them suck less to them. Well now I’m puzzled.
